Places of peace, lessons in caring and love for animals and the land are the themes of winning entries for the 2007 California Farm Bureau Federation photo contest. Judges reviewed more than 360 images from 150 members to find those that best represented six categories: From Farm to Fork, Family on the Farm, Caring for the Land, Kids and Critters, Natural Beauty and All in a Day's Work.
And while the contest has always been open to the organization's farmer members, 2007 marks the first time in the contest's 26-year history that sustaining, or non-farmer, members were invited to participate--providing yet another view of the integral role of farming and ranching in the Golden State.
