Monterey County teen beekeeper Jake Reisdorf loves creating a buzz about bees. "The message that I want everyone to know is: If the bees go, we go, so help save the bees," he says.

Here, Jake shares his top 10 favorite bee facts:

1. Honey bees are being trained to sniff out bombs. 

2. Honey bees can recognize faces.

4. Honey bees have 5 eyes, and can't see red but they can see ultraviolet light. 

5. Bee venom is being tested to treat arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and even cancer.

7. Honey bees contribute over 14.6 billion to U.S. crop production.

8. Honey bees change their brain chemistry when they change hive jobs.

9. Digital honey bee brains are being used to pilot drones.
